Quality time with family

I felt so grateful. While other people had to carry their own luggages down the stairs and take a cab to the airport, my parents came to fetch me during college's end-of-term. I didn't need to rush on my packing like I used to be and didn't need to worry much.

With parents around, you just feel like you are 10 years younger, ready to 'manja' and be daddy & mummy's little darling.

well, at least I do.

Stayed in KL for a few days before heading home with mum and dad plus youngest sister. (Poor Sherlyn couldn't follow because she was busy with her holiday camp) Sleeping together with my family made me feel so warm. It has been so long since we all squeeze together in a big room.

And then I was thinking...I will be flying off to UK next year (wheee). By the time I come back I will be working in KL and yea... growing up makes me feel nostalgic. Very much in fact. Which is why I kind of cherish every moment spent with my family. I mean, I am going to turn 20 soon!! FML i wanna stay young forever lol.

Nowadays like everyone else, we have this family mutual craving for frozen yogurt like anyone else so we stopped by our all time favourite stall--'Moo Cow'. Simply love the milky flavour! ♥ and somehow we all prefer moo cow way better than the fruity brand one.

Slurpsss :)

**lil sis added koala biscuits that she had in her bag as extra toppings for us. heh how cute!

I look fugly max here. argh.
oh well, never mind it's not my self portrait :P

Was so bored waiting for food and so I played with my camera and the lights.

Hohoho Merry Christmas! hahah :) lil sis is just as cute as always
and woo I think I look quite man here, haha only if I were a guy >:P

Authentic Thai food for dinner with grandparents, uncle and aunt.
It was mum's birthday and tomyam was her favourite so, yea.

Happy Birthday dear Mummy! Congratulations on being promoted and have a great year ahead. Don't worry you will be just fine. Your daughter also can, you sure boleh one! :) oh, hope you will look young forever too! heh

♥♥ lots of love.

Misa Amane for a night

Last Monday was a public holiday and our college's student council and prefectorial board organized a social night based on the theme 'Fright Night'. Some sort of belated halloween celebration in the school.

Have been thinking of what character to play since we prefects first came out with the idea of fright night. Well, many didn't take it seriously but I did. LOL. I mean, costume parties are always fun! Many people dressed up as vampires, devils etc. and as always, I wanted to be a bit different :P

I could have just face-painted myself into a scary zombie or some shit but yea, I wanted to look good. duh. So I thought of Misa Amane from Death Note. She's pretty cute and sexy which I sort of want myself to be like that. chey. A more important fact is that she's 19 years old. Bingo! done.

The problem is that Misa from the manga/anime has blonde hair and wears gothic lolita kinda of clothing. I didn't really want to spend money on getting clothes I won't wanna wear after this and I was not really willing to get a blonde wig. BUT>>>> Misa from the film series was not a blonde barbie! In fact, her outfit varies and is not too erm...extreme lol.

So, tada! This is the outcome. quite nice eh? :)

I guess it's almost zero cost to get this whole thing done. Black dress, stockings and heels were already mine and not newly bought. The only thing I bought was one metre of black ribbons for my hair? which was quite cheap.

Toy apple was from my house and I made my own Death Note! Wheeeee how cool is that ;)

Let me explain briefly on how to make my own death note prop.

1) Get an exercise book. ( I got it free from the 'kolej shop' lol. can even do maths inside actually)

2) Wrap it with Black Sugar Paper. (again, I got sugar paper free from 'kolej shop'. lololol )

3) Print out the logo of the Death Note and cut out word by word. ( For my case, I was making the 2nd death note owned by Misa thus the wordings are different from Kira's death note)

4) Glue the cut-out wordings onto the exercise book. DONE!

smart leh lol. =)

Was trying to act cool :P  Sexy Hana behind me hehe.
P.S. did you notice that it's snowing? lol new X'mas effect from picnik. Go try!

The Charlie's angels (SS-ing) before the party. I think we all look good here :)

Entrance.
Let's party like there's no tomorrow! yeah

Loving the awesome lightings.

See I so happy. lol.

Thinking of how the hell did I dance with an apple and a death note with me?
haha I just left them somewhere near a corner and went back to take them afterwards. simple as that.

Dancing with a camera was challenging, though. but who am I? Grace what :)

Despite my oh-so-sorry height, I think I look kind of chio here.

yeah :) ready for the battlefield.

Awesome KTJ peeps :)

THE END.

I was really proud of myself. Imagine that, dancing with high heels for 2 hours and then walk back to your house. I know,  because I'm cool like that :D  *slaps self*

The party was okay..it got pretty boring sometimes coz it's a school event inside the campus and thus no alcohol was allowed. Meh..........how to get high wor you tell me -.-  but yea, I enjoyed more on dolling-up and chillaxing with your classmates than squeezing with people with wet, smelly armpits.

Loon Sing for brunch

Ooh it's Sunday today :)
and my friends and I thought that having a sumptuous brunch to kickstart the brand new week would be a bliss.

Just like whenever I'm back in Penang, dad always bring us to to 'yum zhou cha' every weekend, or in other words, to have dim sum. Typical Cantonese I would say. but well, lots of Penangtie do that too actually. coz penang food is just too good enough to wake lazy people up for breakfast. hee :)

Instead of eating the boring dining hall food, 4 of us decided to take a cab out for Dim Sum and we've decided to go to the famous Loon Sing Restaurant in Nilai which is not far from KTJ.

If you do not know, Loon Sing is actually pretty well-known for its award winning 'Fat Tiu Chiong' or direct translation from mandarin: 'buddha jumps over the wall'. Lol. I have always thought the name of this dish is too funny :P

Back to our story.. Oh right, hmph...Unfortunately, they are not serving Dim Sum today!! Came all the way with so much expectation to eat their famous pau but ended up with much disappointment "sorry ah, today no dim sum wor.." wtf.  Oklo, it's also our fault since we didn't call in to confirm earlier.

FINE. No dim sum, eat other things then :)

Ordered their signature fried rice.
In my opinion, all fried rice are the same actually. If you're opting for something special then I wouldn't recommend this but overall it's really not bad.

Hazel and Hana.

Ooh right, their prawns are fresh but too bad we ordered this Thai style prawn which we all think it's a bit...umm..weird. It's a no-no for the gravy. Perhaps we should have ordered something else instead.

Thizz izz DA BOMB. ♥♥ Dong Po Meat with mantou.
It's their award winning dish and a must-order in Loon Sing after their Fat Tiu Chiong. So glad that I got to taste it. It's just.....

DAMN GOOOOOOOOOOOD. For a moment when I was chewing the fats, I thought I've reached heaven or whatever nice place you believe.  No wonder it's award winning. So coming back for this :)

Me. Steph.  weeee yummy food.

We also ordered our all time favourite: xiong tong yin choy. lazy to translate.
Just some freaking yummy vege cooked with century eggs and soup. *Slurps*

And some fried noodles in fuzhou style. Quite nice actually. The noodles are good, QQ.

_____

Yeah. So that's all we ordered. Not rich enough so cannot order fat tiu chiong, abalone or shark fins soup. lol. I will ask daddy to bring us here next time when they come down & fetch me. Oh hi dad! :P if you happen to read this (my dad's one of my loyal reader out there haha)

Our total food bill was reasonable, in fact quite worth it.
There were actually quite a number of people coming here for lunch, and most of them ordered dong po meat too. Looking forward for the next time. and the next time, I will definitely check if they are gonna serve dim sum on that day first.

______

I know I know, such an irony isn't it?! I just talked sooo much about staying healthy in my last post and look at all the oily dishes I ate just now. >.<
Ok I give you guys the permission to laugh at me as much as you want. HAHA :P
Fine la. I'm not taking dinner tonight okay? I'm gonna eat bread plus some fruits only okay? Tomorrow eat vegetarian food okay? OKAY :)

Finally, let's bombard you with a vain photo of me again, as usual..
Not quite nice this time, didn't make-up again. in fact look a bit like soh mui like that. lol.
but yea, whatever.. it's just to show you guys that I'm still alive and I'm happy all the time =))

Hee :) Have a great week everyone!
