A good start

Started my first paper of the term yesterday and I am glad to say that I had given my best shot.

Although I thought that the paper was pretty easy, it was tedious and the probability of making careless mistakes was relatively high. Nevertheless I swear I was being extra paranoid and careful  when solving each question. Doing like this was time consuming but at least safer.

So presumably nothing went wrong I think I am definitely getting a perfect score this time.whee this is a very good start :D

 

Steph and Hana were busy discussing their Stats paper after coming back and I had not enough energy to shoo them out of my room. Standing ON my comfy bed! Vandalizing my whiteboard! wth and it's not like I remember the topics in that module also (I took it like..last year?) Couldn't even join in the conversation! But still, my two darlings were just funny and lovable I just sit there and stare at them :) ♥

 

 Woke up this morning when Ms Campbell delivered these sweet things to my room.
Exam Care Package! :') huhu best Housemistress on earth thank you so much it made our day.

And then I remember a few days back daddy sent me a cheesy email with all the motivational elements in it as usual. At first I laughed so hard because he's too cute to write a letter for his daughter. I mean how many people's daddy do that? I laughed because I sensed that he's trying to do something really inspiring and touching and I was like : No, daddy you please don't try to do cheesy stuffs I am so not gonna fall into your trap & cry like mummy haha :D But at last I still shed some tears partly because I was tired after studying and felt homesick at the same time. Gee thanks daddy you successfully made my eyes puffy the next morning.

and then I also recalled all the cute, naggy words of wisdom from ze monkey, asking me when's my first paper, have I been studying, whether I have got any further maths questions to ask or not etc.

There are so many people supporting my back. Seriously what else could I ask for..

I'm so grateful that they have finally made me an offer. I've always wanted a London Uni and I understand that it's pretty competitive to get in for Economics so no matter what I am going to make sure that I get in there this September.

Though conditional, I am confident that I can meet their grade requirement.

Unless I am so idiotic enough to not study and let it slip through my fingers.

NO WAY I WILL LET THIS HAPPEN. 

I PROMISE.

One of the reason I updated my fb status about my offer from UCL was also because I wanted to give myself the pressure; to force myself to make it a reality. I don't want to let myself down, and so do you guys who liked my status.

Boo! I'm back to blogging :D

my gawd..first week of Upper 6 was already hectic enough. and it's just the start!
Apparently, there are more challenging topics in class now and it's just so hard to get yourself back to the track after a one-month holiday. So many readings required for my econs and history! Plus, wtf I have to resit for history in November = extra stressssssss.

Argh it was so close I could have gotten an A. Initially I didn't expect much for history, coz..well, I don't really need a star for that. I thought I can just score A and then sit down and relax a bit for next year's A2. Now? Give me a B? FINE.

If life give you lemons, don't just make lemonade.  
Make life take the lemons back!
Guess what, I'm so motivated now to resit properly and score 100% UMS . Perhaps last time i wasn't aiming for A* since I'm always the easily contented person and since I only need A* for maths and econs.  but nowwwwww.. I WANT AN A* FOR HISTORY TOO.  

oh well. let's stop complaining. oh oh I got single room now! yay ;) will be staying in this room until I graduate from ktj :) So, here's an insight of my lovely and cosy room ❤ (might be a bit messy coz I didn't purposely tidy up my room for photo taking like I always did hahaha ) It's just the first few days though. I will decorate more soon :)

Time flies isn't it..It's already June. Comment ça va?
half a year had gone and uh-huh, life's so far so good here.

Haven't been doing much these few days. Even though maths papers are coming in 2 weeks time, I am still chilling here. I'm just too lazy to even open my pencil case, and that's not good =/

Every morning, I look out the window and feel the morning breeze. I can just stare at random stuff outside my window: the blue sky, clouds, grass, birds, squirrels(yes a lot here), Ms.Campbell's cats, random people walking pass the corridor etc. What a peaceful moment. ohh, did you spot my rabbit? :)

Since major papers were over, I'm starting to have some relaxing time reading books(not textbook) when I don't feel like doing maths. Wearing loose clothing, lying on the bed with a book that smells like coffee is just perfect. Not forgetting a mug of Lipton golden milk tea on my desktop. C'est Le Vie.

hahahas. Yea I know, why playing around with french words? Well, apparently my friends and I have been learning some basics with Ms. Esmeralda but we are seriously a big failure LOL. We have been learing since last term but sadly, we can't really speak well nor compose a grammatically correct sentence yet. It's just harder to learn a new language at this age. Too old for that! Heh, I think it's also our own problem for not revising that often :P

I even got  a French Dictionary! :)

I am also very happy now because I just checked my account balance online and muahahaha..

It feels so good when you see an inflow on the credit column. Ka Ching! Ka Ching! gao gao. Thank you bank negara! My wallet is once again fat and the previous guilty feeling for spending on shopping has gone already. Hmm I think I'm gonna buy something nice again this weekend. *evil grin*

Reporting from KTJ

Aloha!

Yes, it's me blogging again. Peace :) after.. almost 2 weeks of hibernating. *oopsy*

Sorry guys, have been quite busy lately.
Not really THAT busy of course..but still, I need time to settle down, as in, adapting myself to the new environment and the lifestyle here. And And And! most importantly, I have to switch on my long rusted engine (brain) or else I'll die. DIE. Seriously.

Anyway, for this post I'll just make it as simple as can be. I'll write more about my life next time.

Check out the heavenly house ever that I'm currently staying in- ALIA!!

Alia house is a new house, just opened this year. It's a 3 storey building, where 1st and 2nd floor comprises rooms of every Alians. Each of us live in a room and share the facilities together.

There are single bed rooms and double bed rooms. Which means some need to share while some don't need to.

Guess what, I'm so lucky that I got a double bed room, but I'm staying alone.

No roomates yet until next term.

So yea, at the moment, I'm enjoying a huge room alone ;)

*fyi, 11.30pm is lights-off time for L6, which literally means that I need to sleep at that time. And there will be house prefects or teacher-in-charge to check whether you've already switch off your lights or not, and then they'll greet you Good Night :)

Even though I have my laptop with me, damn I can't access to facebook.

IP address problem? Proxy settings? I tak tahu.

Anyway, It's a GOOD THING! isn't it?

so that I can concentrate more :P

well, I can always go to facebook in the study centre or 6th form centre actually.

Or even using friends' laptop. So, no problem. 

We can't sleep or  visit other ppl's room during prep, as our housemistress or house tutor will come in to check on you! Ha! Spot Check! xD

Corridor outside Alia house, which leads you to the school. Distance between the school area and house is only at walking distance. It's so near that whenever I have free periods between, I'll come back to my room to rest. I can even take a nap if I want to, before going to my next class. =)

The pantry. 

The place where we can make some simple dishes here if we want to. There's 2 refrigerators where you can put your stuffs here. I usually come here to make a mug of Milo before I sleep.

There's TV, dvd player, piano, foosball table, boxing bag, yoga mats, skipping ropes etc.

We usually have house meetings/roll calls here. Just come down and you can enjoy the facilities.

One cute fact about KTJ. There're a lot of squirrels here!  Spot that fluffy fella!

I haven't show you all the 6th form centre, swimming pool, gyms, sport facilities etc. LOL.


Basically, KTJ is quite awesome. The environment is really good, and the food here too!
Oh my, speaking of food, I can write you another long post. *slurp*

Superb food as in buffet style everyday, from breakfast to dinner; from Asian to Western.You just won't get hungry. The most important fact is that I DON'T NEED to think of money problems when I'm having meals.

 In fact, I rarely use money in KTJ. Everything is paid already by bank negara. I just need to go to the dining hall and GRAB as many food as I can finish. Lmao!



Oh ya, we have housekeeping and laundry service everyday! How cool is that!
A princess life I dare to say. Neither mopping the floor nor washing my uniforms are done by me. They even iron my uniforms before returning. Muahahaha

It's just that I'm so curious with the washing machine(my new toy.wth), so I always do part of my laundry myself in the laundry room. Haha! Washing and drying cloths is FUN! Yea, that's one of my entertainment in KTJ :)


Okay la. Gotta sign off now, homework time!! (AHHHHHH)

I'm having fun and stress at the same time.
