Remember the catastrophic earthquake that struck Japan back in March?

I could still remember that was the time when I just got elected as the new president for KTJ Interact Club. Once in power, I started to think of some new project for the club.

I approaced our teacher adviser and told him about the idea of doing something for the Japanese. After discussing, we came to a conclusion to not organize any monetary donations but a more innovative way to show our concern for them. I mean, to think economical wise, Japan is a well developed country or in other words, rich. Besides, since world war times the Japanese had already exposed to us their positive attitude while reeling on disasters. They are strong people, to be exact.

"An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by a crane, such as long life or recovery from illness or injury. The crane in Japan is one of the mystical or holy creatures (others include the dragon and the tortoise), and is said to live for a thousand years. In Japan, it is commonly said that folding 1000 paper origami cranes makes a person's wish come true. This makes them popular gifts for special friends and family."- Wikipedia

Thus, we decided to fold paper cranes for the unfortunate. Since 1000 equals to a wish, we targeted to make 2000 cranes (wishes: Peace & Hope) to be presented to the Japan Embassy to show our deepest condolences while raising awareness among our students about the earthquake. Cool right?

I would like to thank all my fellow BODs and friends that helped out to tie all the origami together into strings of colourful paper cranes. It was not an easy task, trust me.  And also a big thank you to all students of the school and our teacher adviser, Mr Kenneth Wong and family for helping to fold that 2000 paper cranes. We actually made more than that, in fact.

We didn't have the chance to meet the Ambassador himself because he was too busy that time due to the ongoing disaster in Japan. This is his assistant.

The ambassador sent us a reply letter a few days later and we were delighted that he actually appreciated our cranes :)) A very sweet letter from him, but I am lazy to upload here :P

and yea, Japan has now recovered much from the catastrophe.

Barbie No More

I'm done with all my CIE papers! :) 

Super happy. (well, not really) there are still two more Edexcel maths modules coming up in mid June.

Anyway, I went out with Steph & TC yesterday to mid valley (same old place again. hmm I think now I know mid valley more than Queensbay mall -.-) Coz apparently we can reach there easily by KTM without changing stations. and I don't know why Alia house always plan trips to mid valley too. sien only. Thank goodness we're going to pavilion next week. like, finally.

After being 'jailed' for a month with lots of serious studies I just couldn't wait to go out to pamper myself. ♥

TC met his bf right after we reached and they went to somewhere else while steph and I headed to Sushi King to makan makan. We had Unagi sushi and temaki while waiting for lunch sets. so nice I like :D (well not THAT nice though. what do you expect, sushi king what.) and then we ordered COKE FLOAT :DD half price on that day so we, the irrational consumers got tempted and ignored all their marketing gimmicks. wth what kind of economics students is this haha

Nyamnyam. So satisfied but a bit too bloated though :/ 

we ate too much which causes the marginal utility to fall.  LOL everything is economics to me :D

Post-exam effect. blame that.

Ok..let's see. After lunch, we walked towards this newly opened store near the cinema. 

We were like, WHAT?? WHY SO NICE ONE? <3<3 @______@

It was the 2-storey-Barbie Store which sells all sorts of barbie merchandises, literally.

Their decor was pretty awesome!

 Since it's new, they are giving out free photo shoot sessions for early birds. 

and they mentioned it's for ALL GIRLS on the notice board.

                                                 wait.. all girls? then am I counted? hehe

Lots of little girls there waiting for their turns to be transformed into a princess. Lots of them. like, the whole upper floor was basically full. and after observing we realized that there's no other young ladies like us in the store. Damn awkward lo. especially when the kids look at this Da Jie Jie exclaiming her excitement when she saw the barbie dolls. hahahaha.

Cool right? I think my little sister or little cousins will love this. It's just like a dream come true for all little girls. Heavenly awesome ♥ Great idea to start a store like this. but i doubt how many people will actually buy the dolls. ok perhaps sales will be good in the first few months but yea.. idk. quite hard though :/

We then left due to the awkwardness and booyeah, went for some serious shopping! :DD Haha I think those magical fairy tales don't really suit me anymore..it's merely a childhood memory. I don't want to be a bimbotic princess anymore; I want to be an intelligent, fabulous, rich and classy chic/fashionista. 

High heels, handbags, dresses, cosmetics etc. I just can't resist myself from spending money =/

Somehow I feel a lil bit guilty T____T especially when I stand in front of the ATM machine. haha but yea, why am I so scared to buy things for myself? I have allowances from my sponsors every month and I don't even need to spend a single cent in my boarding school coz everything's prepaid by the bank. So, why so scared MUAHAHAHA. Even if I finish using this bank account's money there's still Bank Daddy & Mummy what. LOL jk. I seldom use their money nowadays. It's just mummy who wants to give me some extra pocket money. Mothers ♥ oh and not forgetting daddy that pay for my miscellaneous charges in school. heh.

but I did figure out something very enlightening. In order to have a luxurious lifestyle I really have to earn a lot of money (let's don't talk about marrying a rich husband..if and only if I got one.. then that's considered as a bonus la haha ) and to earn money you need a good job which I don't need to worry too much coz I have bonds with the bank. The only thing left is to study hard and get into a top university in UK and voila, my dreams will come true eventually babe.

cut the crap. So.... I bought lots of stuff that day.
Won't list out everything that I've bought hehe.

Bought some cosmetics to complete my collection (not the expensive type la)

I haven't reach the level to be willing to spend on Bobbi Brown, M.A.C., Benefit etc. Haha stingy :D

Plus, these ranges are quite good as well, it's just that they are not sold at the classy counters that's all.

ohhh and I found my prom dress in the Gardens Mall! It's a gown to be exact. LOVESSSSS.

I manged to get it at a super duper affordable/way-beyond-reasonable/Cheap price. I'm confident that mummy will clap hands for me too if she knows the price. lol.

Now it's just left with a pair of sexy high heels :) I'm gonna hunt for it next week. weeeee lalaalala :D Girls just get happy easily by shopping. Luckily I have my budget line, if not I can really buy the whole mall i tell you. fuyoh.

First hectic week has gone.*claps* I swear last week was my most productive week ever in KTJ. lololol. Goodbye history AS! Even though I had a fun time dating with all the European's most powerful men inside my history book, I hope that I won't need to see you again! HAHA
Economics Paper 2..damn, I'm so sick of you AS syllabus! and yea, I pray that will be my last time doing paper 2 for AS ;)

 Now I can actually relax a lil bit until S2 and Econs P1 next thurs and fri :P
relax=more naps= ♥♥ :) But I better don't stop the engine for too long. heh

So, cut the crap. Recently I was quite addicted on following fashion photo blogs.  It actually inspires me to find my own style and yes, I think I need a serious shopping after exam.

I pretty much love the fusion of vintage feel into the modern fashion. I like this style.

My first paper is like, less than a week from now.  die X___X

and damn..the gap between history and econs P2 is like so near...it's like no gap at all. How ah? and it's not like I'm already very confident. In fact, I'm kinda lost now. What can I do? 

I'm starting to feel some stress already. (isn't this a bit too late? -.-)

The ultimate-super-nerd mode is now officially switched on and well, frankly I'm quite excited though. I'll be a bit anti-social from now on so please do not interrupt me if possible. Else I'll give you the shoo-shoo look.

eh you know, I used to get really annoyed too when some bimbos kept on complaining about their assignment stress la..whatsoever la (or worse, their period pains stupid you think you're the only one is it?!) They post on fb or they blog about it. In fact nobody even give a damn. bwahaha. oops. ouch.

Happy Birthday 2011

Hi world! I'm back to my hometown again. Yay!

It feels so good to come back to this beautiful island, Penang! ♥

Anyway, my favourite month of the year has already passed. Boooo.

But I'm still glad and grateful that I had a great March this 2011. Lovessss!

Ok, upon arrival..

My family bought a super yummy x10000000.. fresh cream cake for me to celebrate my belated birthday. So damn nice I tell you! the cream is so fluffy like cotton candy and the fruits are fresh and juicy as well. YUMMEEEEY.

 

As time goes by, we girls start to hate the candles on top of the cake.

So yea, just one candle will do :)

Before this, back in KTJ, my friends were sweet enough to help me celebrate in school. Thank you so much!! I was also glad that lots of my old schoolmates still remember my birthday and actually texted or phoned me in the midnight. And my dear roommate, Sharan was the first to wish me Happy Birthday a few minutes before 12 o'clock. :D Oh not to forget, my cacat but funny skype session with Hui Chuin and Soon Yee. Haha eh I've already installed the latest version so yea, skype me more often ok? :)

I had my good night sleep that night and the next day...

First, I was bombarded by lots of birthday wishes from all Alia housemates early in the morning.

and next, when I was walking up the stairs of 6th form centre...

My dear friends pasted this birthday banner for me on the wall where everyone else in the 6th form will notice it before entering classrooms. Now everyone knows it's my birthday on that day. Even my teachers knew it too -.- *shy shy*

It was kinda loud and I was genuinely surprised. Very shy as well. Hahaha :)

Highlights of the day: Flash mob in the dining hall by all Alians.
Gosh, what a coincidence. Of all the other days, why flash mob-ing on my birthday?!
Ms Campbell even asked me: "aren't you excited to dance on your own birthday? =) "
LOL. Yea, it was epic anyway. Alia Flash mob rocks! I think everyone else enjoyed as well.

 yea basically this is how simple and memorable my birthday was. I really feel that as I grow up, the birthday spirit is becoming weaker and weaker.. I mean, I used to wish for a big big birthday party and lots of presents or in other words, a glamorous and fun one. but now.. All I want is a peaceful and loved birthday. Perhaps it's my aging effect, lol.

I seriously think that there are too many wonderful things that happen in my life and I should really cherish them and be grateful.  Now, to me, birthday is not a day to party but a day to grow up.   

so deep wei. haha. but somehow it's true.


Anyway...Birthday dinner coming soon.
well, to me, FOOD is a MUST and can never be excluded HAHA :)
