Fast Food in HK

Talk about speed and efficiency- Fast food has always been the easiest and fastest way(literally) to appease my random hunger pangs.

Now when we say fast food, I'm sure things like burgers, fries, pizzas and soft drinks would appear on your mind stereotypically.

But Hong Kong kind of gave me a whole new definition of fast food.

Value set with cold drinks.

Yes, Hong Kong style fast food it is.
It may look kind of simple and disappointing.. But trust me, (or at least my sophisticated taste buds) the taste wasn't bad at all!

French toast covered with extra sugar and condensed milk.
(ouuu. guilty pleasures)

碗仔翅 'wun zai qi' or shark's fin soup (without shark's fin)

le bowl of awesomeness. *slurps*

FYI, There are three main fast food chains in HK, namely:
Cafe de Coral 大家乐
Fairwood 大快活
Maxim's MX 美心

and the one I dined in was called Fairwood. (notably with orange interior)

Though this type of fast food had been there for many years, I'm still impressed with the creativity to integrate daily hk delicacies into fast food.

And then of course, there's Mc Donald's where I couldn't resist myself from buying something even when I'm not that hungry.

because they have the cutest chicken nugget box ever!! ( ˘ ³˘)♥
(and really cool nugget sauce too)

Apparently during our trip, their Happy Meal that week was with Hello Kitty theme! Lucky us.

Just HKD 25 for one! (approximately RM10)
Reasonable price for something exclusive I guess (^▽^)ツ

I mean how often can you see a black skeleton hello kitty?! somehow disgustingly cute, don't you think so? heh

weekend shopping + monday blues

Went out for weekend shopping yesterday :)
happiest time of the week ♥

Didn't buy any clothing this time. Not even a single T-shirt.
I don't know why but sometimes I just don't have the mood to shop for clothes. weird!
BUT I spent A LOT on groceries. my cupboard is full of FOOD now :P not forgetting those in the refrigerator. Feel so happy! Having good food in life means you're having a good life. LOL.

Showing some of my shopping haul.. all the non-food. oh well, not much but still,  spending on cute things can make me really happy :D

It's a pink bow hair band :) fluffy cute!

and this. 24 Twin tip markers for RM10 only. AHHHH best buy of the day :') I've been craving for colour markers for some time

Continental Bakery delivery from Penang! Thank you mummy daddy for buying me my favourite food :P and thank you Hazel for bringing them back to ktj! I can be fat nao haha ♥

*sigh* Tomorrow's Monday! and I am annoyed as usual :/ can't I have more holidays? seriously.

Food for skin

helloooo! can't believe I'm actually updating my blog again haha *so not me ^___^

And about today's post, it's not like I am trying to imply that I am very pro at taking care of my face (in fact I'm super lazy sometimes! haha) but I think it would be cool to share with you readers about my daily skin care products.

I mean, I can get really excited about all the bottles and tubes of skin care  :D

P.S. just sharing my personal experiences, not doing advertorial for them. Even though I wish I could have the chance to :D

I have the 3 basic necessities like everyone does : facial wash, toner and moisturizer.
and I have stopped using high-end skincare products from counters (if you get what i mean) because I realized that my skin couldn't really adapt to those 'luxuries' yet. Good lah, save money :)

It's obvious from the photo above, you can see that I really fancy Japanese skin care a lot. Notice all the Japanese words lol. I don't use Western brand anymore because to me, I somehow feel that those skin care products are formulated according to the needs of the Caucasian skin type and therefore wouldn't really suit Asian skin as much as those of Asian home brands.

And oh well, I am biased towards Japanese products :P

So.. let's see.. in case you don't understand my photo...

Facial wash:
I have two:  Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Face Wash & Nano White Awakening Snow Wash.  I use these two alternatively according to my mood haha.. But I tend to use Nano white more when I feel that my skin is oily/dusty or other words, dirtier. lol. It gives a cleaner and more refreshing feeling which Hada Labo lacks. but no doubt Hada Labo has got a really good moisturizing effect so I usually use it before I sleep.

Toner:
Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Lotion. This is a pretty popular product which is the No.1 bestseller in Japan and I am sure that most Malaysian girls are using this nowadays. Needless to explain more, its selling point, the super moisturizing effect and whatever 'one drop locks up the whole ocean' tagline is really not lying.

Moisturizer:
Muji's All in one essence. (The pink jar) It's a new product and apparently also a hit item in Japan because like its name suggests, it is a 3 in 1 mixture of toner/化妆水, moisturizer/乳液 and ‘beauty fluid'/美容液. Pretty cool isn't it.. I sometimes will just skip my hada labo toner and only use this after washing my face whenever I feel lazy. A great product, but after some time I start to dislike the gel-like texture. A bit too jelly-ish I would say.

Not forgetting to mention that I love using Japanese cotton pads instead of the normal ones. I forgot to take picture of these cute fluffy Japanese cotton pads but seriously, just try once and you will never want to use the normal ones anymore. Why? Simply because of the quality. They won't leave fluff or lint on your face like the usual ones do which is mad love!!! Got 2 boxes of 'Good Puff' at only RM5 from Daiso. damn cheap :D

And then let's see..

Make up remover:
Mandom Beauty Cleansing Express Moist Cleansing Lotion. Another cool Japanese product lol.
You can easily get these from Watsons Japasnese skin care counter. The main thing I like about it is because it is water based which doesn't make my face feel greasy after use. Plus, it contains moisturizing essence too so you basically can just go to sleep straight after wiping off your make-up using this awesome make up remover. No need to wash/apply lotion.

I used to have face scrubs like St.Ives (which is really good too! just that I didn't restock) but currently I am using this awesome substitution I got from Japan. Sanshokaken Shizenbi Natural Beauty Peeling Gel.  It basically shares the same function as facial scrub except the fact that it is less harsh to your skin. Usually use this twice a week.

And of course, MASKSSSSS.

The best of all haha! I have plenty of them and this is considered very little already because I haven't restocked yet. lol. There are so many choices of brands out there and I really can't say which one is better but.. I'm really in love with Taiwan's brand My Beauty Diary since long ago. If you remember my post in 2010  Others like Kracie from Japan (the red ones) and the cute cartoon mask from Korea (gift from my aunt). I've tried Hada Labo's moisturizing mask and it is seriously good as well but is a lil pricey to me. Oh and the heal pharm nose strips ( the white ones) are really awesome too they take away your annoying blackheads effectively!

Okla that's it for now. Haha reviewing skin care products sure is fun!! hehe
Albeit so, I guess drinking sufficient amount of water is fairly important too which I usually don't practice. I am working hard on this to keep myself hydrated all the time. And also avoid oily food. which I also knew this since forever but it's always an epic failure :/

Do share with me your beauty tips too, yes?

_________________________ extra/random:

By the way after seeing Xiaxue with her extremely cute pet Holland lop, Igloo, I have this sudden urge to get one for myself too. I want a pet rabbit! not the usual ugly rabbit but a CUTE Holland lop/mini lop!

Just look at its face. awwwww  *melts*

huhuhu whatcha looking at? >:3

*pulls hair* TOO CUTE! I want one! They just remind me about my favourite Enid Blyton story I read when I was 7 or 8.."The little white rabbit" which i think is a Holland lop and not any normal rabbit with boring standing ears, according to the illustration in the book. <3

I think the price is around 500 bucks for a 8 week baby but it's cheaper in UK. So, yea, I'll control myself...and buy one when I go to London this September. Can't wait :3

exeat 1st day

Exeat's starting today but I'm not going anywhere. I'm quite used to staying back in KTJ and enjoy my peaceful break. Will probably go out for a short while on Sunday to dine-in some good restaurant in The Gardens Mall..and shop for groceries. I'm so desperate for good food :P

Oh right, I kept on forgetting to show you guys my new bought wall sticker from 'Art Friend'.
There you go:

wee. Pretty cool isn't it? Purple sparkling dandelions with glittery butterflies. I wake up everyday to see my room like this, like I'm still in the fairy land in my dream. lol.

Hmm. Just 2 months to go.  I keep convincing myself to strive a little bit more. 2 months of hard work and I shall have an awesome break! I'm going overseas this year for my end-of-year-holiday! Didn't get to go last year so I'm very looking forward to go this time. lalala :)

I don't know what to update about actually. Life here in KTJ is like..hmm..oh well..what more to say? Sometimes I'll be very very busy and stressed but sometimes I'll just eat and sleep like there's no tomorrow.

Oh yea, i'm sharing with you guys this so cool yet so lame joke. I like it :D

LOLz.

and this too...

Hahahaha I know it's lame but I just can't stop laughing. That cat's face is just too funneyy!

Anyway, my resit paper for History is coming soon! I'm quite excited actually. lol. Can't wait to nail that History like shit. I just want to get rid of it as soon as possible and then focus on my January maths modules. Wish me luck ;)

Till then, ciao!

kawaii :)

I've always been a fan of hello kitty. It may not be obvious because I'm not the extreme kind but I really like that cat and her company, Sanrio. I can spend hours at the hello kitty section in Parkson. I used to be so crazy over the Sanrio clothing brand in Thailand and I can still remember good old times when I collected all the hello kitty merchandises from Mc Donald's. Up till today I still don't allow my mum to give them away.

It has been a while since my last hello kitty fever.. until recently.

Last friday, when we 'drive-thru' Mc Donald's I discovered this cute toy from my little sister's Happy Meal box.  O________O   ... kawaii des!

but I don't like pinky stuff.
Only the original hello kitty with a red ribbon on her left ear will make me smile.

It's just simply cute and classy. ❤

Like a G12

Finally. Got my Canon Power Shot G12.
Thanks a lot daddy! I'll shall not disappoint you, I hope ;)

So, here's some edited pics of my new camera.  hmm..
haven't thought of a name for this baby yet. Any ideas?  haha

Dad wanted to buy a dslr for me and I was initially tempted. but...
Knowing me as a photography noob, I don't think I should get one yet.. especially now when I don't have much time to play. Plus, I'm not really into all these confusing photography thingy. I just want to take good quality photos and then edit them. lol. Well, a more important fact is that G12 has got the chio look I want but not too bulky at the same time. Perfecto! :)

Looking forward to take more beautiful photos using my new camera :) Stay tuned.

and ohh. Holidays almost ending. Results coming out soon too. *shivers*
I hope I've scored well :) wish me luck! ❤

Saturday at Pavilion

hmm.. I haven't been updating for days. Blame the internet connection here -.-

How's everything? Had an enjoyable weekend? I did :) Went shopping at Pavilion last Saturday which caused my wallet to be empty, literally. But whatever la, haven't been spending like this for quite a long time..hahaha shopping is always the greatest guilty pleasure! ♥

gosh. I contributed so much to the economy thanks to Pavilion :/

Had brunch at DÔME Café..
and I ordered the cutest thing on earth :D
.....
..
.

Babycino!  served with 2  tiny marshmallows

cuteness x 10000000000....∞ maths error

Big Baby Grace loves cute baby things! :D
It's actually for kids but I insisted the waitress to get one for me LOL.

and my brunch.. beef gourmet pie :)
yums.. I love gourmet pies ♥♥

Did a lot of shopping for prom. Ahh I hate shopping for prom. It's so not fun! It's so different from shopping for normal causal things. You have to basically hunt for things that you won't want to wear much in daily life in a given time and limited income. Stupid. I would rather shop for beautiful casual clothes and bags >.<

But this one is my favourite for the day. Look much like Kate Middleton's engagement ring right? Haha imitations :)

Nothing much again.
but it's prom this weekend! Excited? Not really. Looking forward anyway :)
Stay tuned.

Barbie No More

I'm done with all my CIE papers! :)
Super happy. (well, not really) there are still two more Edexcel maths modules coming up in mid June.

Anyway, I went out with Steph & TC yesterday to mid valley (same old place again. hmm I think now I know mid valley more than Queensbay mall -.-) Coz apparently we can reach there easily by KTM without changing stations. and I don't know why Alia house always plan trips to mid valley too. sien only. Thank goodness we're going to pavilion next week. like, finally.

After being 'jailed' for a month with lots of serious studies I just couldn't wait to go out to pamper myself. ♥

TC met his bf right after we reached and they went to somewhere else while steph and I headed to Sushi King to makan makan. We had Unagi sushi and temaki while waiting for lunch sets. so nice I like :D (well not THAT nice though. what do you expect, sushi king what.) and then we ordered COKE FLOAT :DD half price on that day so we, the irrational consumers got tempted and ignored all their marketing gimmicks. wth what kind of economics students is this haha

Nyamnyam. So satisfied but a bit too bloated though :/
we ate too much which causes the marginal utility to fall.  LOL everything is economics to me :D
Post-exam effect. blame that.

Ok..let's see. After lunch, we walked towards this newly opened store near the cinema.
We were like, WHAT?? WHY SO NICE ONE? <3<3 @______@

It was the 2-storey-Barbie Store which sells all sorts of barbie merchandises, literally.
Their decor was pretty awesome!

Since it's new, they are giving out free photo shoot sessions for early birds.
and they mentioned it's for ALL GIRLS on the notice board.
wait.. all girls? then am I counted? hehe

Lots of little girls there waiting for their turns to be transformed into a princess. Lots of them. like, the whole upper floor was basically full. and after observing we realized that there's no other young ladies like us in the store. Damn awkward lo. especially when the kids look at this Da Jie Jie exclaiming her excitement when she saw the barbie dolls. hahahaha.

"waaaa so pretty!!!"
"haiyo I wanted this when I was young! Mum never bought me this! "
"This range is the best! limited edition one! :DD"
"omg omg omg!!"
"awwwww this reminds me of my childhood!"
"ehhh I got this one before!"

kid: .............

yea. imagine the there was only 2 big girls in the whole store (besides the sales girls). hahaha..

Lucky girl! can wear the gorgeous pink princess gown and the wig! plus a free photoshoot session wth

WHY AM I SO OLD. I ALSO WANT CAN OR NOT? :DD

Cool right? I think my little sister or little cousins will love this. It's just like a dream come true for all little girls. Heavenly awesome ♥ Great idea to start a store like this. but i doubt how many people will actually buy the dolls. ok perhaps sales will be good in the first few months but yea.. idk. quite hard though :/

We then left due to the awkwardness and booyeah, went for some serious shopping! :DD Haha I think those magical fairy tales don't really suit me anymore..it's merely a childhood memory. I don't want to be a bimbotic princess anymore; I want to be an intelligent, fabulous, rich and classy chic/fashionista.
High heels, handbags, dresses, cosmetics etc. I just can't resist myself from spending money =/

Somehow I feel a lil bit guilty T____T especially when I stand in front of the ATM machine. haha but yea, why am I so scared to buy things for myself? I have allowances from my sponsors every month and I don't even need to spend a single cent in my boarding school coz everything's prepaid by the bank. So, why so scared MUAHAHAHA. Even if I finish using this bank account's money there's still Bank Daddy & Mummy what. LOL jk. I seldom use their money nowadays. It's just mummy who wants to give me some extra pocket money. Mothers ♥ oh and not forgetting daddy that pay for my miscellaneous charges in school. heh.

but I did figure out something very enlightening. In order to have a luxurious lifestyle I really have to earn a lot of money (let's don't talk about marrying a rich husband..if and only if I got one.. then that's considered as a bonus la haha ) and to earn money you need a good job which I don't need to worry too much coz I have bonds with the bank. The only thing left is to study hard and get into a top university in UK and voila, my dreams will come true eventually babe.

cut the crap. So.... I bought lots of stuff that day.
Won't list out everything that I've bought hehe.

Bought some cosmetics to complete my collection (not the expensive type la)
I haven't reach the level to be willing to spend on Bobbi Brown, M.A.C., Benefit etc. Haha stingy :D
Plus, these ranges are quite good as well, it's just that they are not sold at the classy counters that's all.

ohhh and I found my prom dress in the Gardens Mall! It's a gown to be exact. LOVESSSSS.
I manged to get it at a super duper affordable/way-beyond-reasonable/Cheap price. I'm confident that mummy will clap hands for me too if she knows the price. lol.

Now it's just left with a pair of sexy high heels :) I'm gonna hunt for it next week. weeeee lalaalala :D Girls just get happy easily by shopping. Luckily I have my budget line, if not I can really buy the whole mall i tell you. fuyoh.

Kla..stay tuned for more updates ♥
